From the Niagara Falls Public Library - Comic Con in the Library, happening Saturday, May 9th.  Libraries have really evolved into community hubs, and this event is such a great example of that creativity, imagination, and bringing people together across all ages.

The Shaw Festival in Niagara On The Lake recently held their signature annual fundraiser, the 30th annual Shaw Shivaree! This lively spring gala brings together incredible bites from Niagara’s top culinary scene, live music, and a vibrant dance floor — an unforgettable night of food, fun, and fundraising to kick off the season in style.

Following The Community Initiative For Animal Rescue's "Spring Floral/Bake Sale Fundraiser" benefiting Last Chance Horse and Pony Rescue, we visited Crystal Beach this past weekend for the cheque presentation of the proceeds! $6000 was raised for the Rescue that cares for mistreated, injured, surrendered, abandoned horses and ponies.

There was a lot of howling going on Saturday in Niagara, with Great Wolf Lodge celebrating their 20th birthday in the City! Staff, families, guests, local political leaders and special VIP's were on hand bringing greetings (and howls and cheers) as part of the celebration. And even though it was the Lodge celebrating the milestone, they were the ones giving out a special present - a $25,000 donation to the new South Niagara Hospital.

Horse Sense for Kids, a program that uses equine-assisted learning to support children and youth in building confidence and emotional resilience. She’s here to talk about the upcoming premiere of Rescued Hearts, a film that highlights the powerful bond between people and horses and the impact of this work.

Two wonderful local organizations have teamed up to bring a special comedy to Niagara. The Re-Store in St. Catharines and the Thorold Theatre have partnered to bring the story of The Kitchen Witches to life.

Niagara District Airport, Air Canada and The Landline Company announced Air Canada’s new luxury motor coach service that will run from Niagara District Airport (YCM) to Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) and back three times daily.
