Hockey Cares
In 2017, when hockey mom, Sue Heddle, saw reports of the youth suicide crisis on remote northern First Nations, she reached out to Attawapiskat and started the Hockey Cares Program. This week Hockey Cares hosted indigenous youth in Oakville as a part of the fifth annual hockey exchange program, where youth spend a week together learning about each other's cultures and tradition.
