Episode #12 - Crime Stoppers of Niagara Appreciation Evening
For this week's "YourTV History", we go back to sometime in 2000 or 2001 for The Crime Stoppers of Niagara Appreciation Evening at Hernder Estate Wine. Since 1999, Crime Stoppers in Ontario has made 125136 arrests and paid out over $8 million in cash rewards to those who called the program with information which led to an arrest.
Episode #11 - Hershey Easter Egg Hunt
It was April 2001 when Hershey Canada and The Niagara Parks Commission teamed up to present the first ever Easter Egg hunt, with over 250,000 eggs hidden throughout Queen Victoria Park. And somewhere amongst them were a few "golden" eggs - with a grand prize of a trip to Disney World for the winning family. We hope you enjoy this piece of Niagara history!

Episode #6 - Smart Border Declaration and Action Plan
It's the March break and if you're not careful you may get stuck at one of our international border bridges crossing into the States or returning home to Canada. Do you have a NEXUS? On this week's YourTV History segment, we decided to see the beginning origins for NEXUS with The Smart Border Declaration and Action Plan, resulting in a binational deal between the United States and Canada. The aim of the plan was to continually improve border security, information sharing, infrastructure protection, and law enforcement co-operation between the two nations.
Episode #5 - Tony & Benny DeFranco Return To Port Colborne
If you grew up in the Welland/Port Colborne area, you are probably familiar with The DeFranco Family - five siblings who racked up a number of Top 40 hits in the early 70's along with numerous television appearances on shows like "American Bandstand" and "The Mike Douglas Show". Back in November of 2001, brothers Tony and Benny DeFranco returned home to Port to visit with friends and family, and reminisce about their days growing up in the area.
