Bronze Shoes Famine Trail at The St. Catharines Museum & Welland Canals Centre
Bob Romeo met up with Patrick Treacy, Chairman of Irish Music Niagara, at The St. Catharines Museum and Welland Canals Centre to learn more about a pair of bronze shoes, taking up temporary residence at the Museum. Niagara plans to be part of an international heritage trail memorializing Irish immigrants who fled the potato famine in the 1800s and landed in ports around the world.
Madette Mendoza
Madette Mendoza is an inspiring artist, music teacher, and youth mental health speaker from Niagara Falls, who has taken her inspirational story literally to the next level. Madette Mendoza recently won second place at North America's largest inspirational speaking competition called Speaker Slam. She joins Jennifer Wittig in the YourTV studio to discuss her success.
