The Niagara Region Metis Council invited Niagara municipalities to participate in the annual Louis Riel Day celebrations by gifting Metis Nation flags to all 12 Mayors and the Region Council Chair.

Guests and residents are encouraged to capture that Christmas spirit by shopping, staying and being entertained in town during the holiday season.

After a $7 million dollar renovation, Casino Niagara recently opened up their new Level 2, including a new Sports Bar, Poker Room and new gaming technology. Reporter Mike Balsom attended the grand opening, that will hopefully ensure that Niagara's original casino will remain in operation for years to come.
