In 1867 Ontario's first gold mine went into production and the community of Eldorado was founded. A number of small gold mines were subsequently established in southeastern Ontario, including the Deloro, Gilmour, Cordova, Feigle, Bannockburn and Golden Fleece. Eldorado is just north of Madoc on highway 62.

MP Neil Ellis joins YourTV to announce the federal government will be contributing nearly $5 million to major road works projects in the region. The announcement was made alongside his provincial counterpart MPP Todd Smith. The projects are Bell Blvd in Belleville & King St, Division St, Catherine St, Dufferin Ave. in Quinte West.
