A Milton man is alive tonight because two Halton regional police officers happened to be in the right place at the right time on Lake Ontario. Reetinder Sandhu nearly drowned at Burlington Beach, and he wants to ensure this doesn't happen to anyone else this summer.

Prescribed Burn at Mountsberg
Working alongside an Indigenous group, a prescribed burn took place at Mountsberg Conservation Area last week, with the goal of removing invasive plant species and allowing native ones to grow in their place.
The Cootes Paradise Fishway
Built nearly 30 years ago, the fishway managed by the RBG at Cootes Paradise has seen success in the management of the invasive Common Carp. However, despite the decrease in invasive fish, native species are still struggling to recover.
Mayor Meed Ward Discusses Downtown Parking
Burlington Mayor Marianne Meed Ward discusses a proposal for a parking garage on the east side of downtown. The Mayor goes on to talk about Burlington being recognized as a “Tree City of the World” as well as the recent passing of Special Olympics organizer Dr. Frank J. Hayden.
Grant Given To Milton Lawn Bowling Club
The Milton Lawn Bowling Club has been around for over 100 years, but upgrades that were required from Halton Region totalled up $65K, putting the century old club in jeopardy. Fortunately, the club’s application for a grant has been approved, allowing them to keep their doors open.
