Mayor's Breakfast in Milton
The annual Mayor's breakfast in Milton provided a stage for the mayor to share his perspective on the CN Intermodal hub and do so on the heels of a recent federal court ruling. Gord Krantz addressed an audience of business leaders, including the Milton Chamber of Commerce. Council and the chamber have been on opposite sides of the debate around the CN Intermodal Hub that's planned for the south end of Milton. Jason Trout has more.
Students in the Spotlight with HLF
The Halton Learning Foundation helps students across the region to reach their full potential by removing barriers through financial support. April is HLF Month raising awareness and funds to allow the foundation to continue to allow students to focus on their education. Halton Hills is ready to get rolling this summer. The annual bike swap was the place to be if you wanted to donate and purchase a new ride. Even the wet weather couldn't keep the crowds away. Milton Sports Celebrity Dinner
Professional athletes from the NHL, MLB, CFL, horse racing and the Olympics were all in attendance at the Milton sports celebrity dinner. It's an event with a purpose, in addition to being a lot of fun. The goal is to raise money for scholarships that help Milton high school students make post-secondary education a possibility.
