Mayor Rob Burton Discusses Plan To Keep Residents Safe Without Speed Camera's
The town of Oakville received over 891-thousand dollars from the provincial government after their speed cameras were taken down due to provincial law. Milton's Tree Lighting
It's the third year Milton's downtown BIA has hosted a tree lighting. In that time, the executive director shared that it's grown from about 20 people to roughly 100 who attended this year. Progress in bringing more people downtown that the BIA and business owners hope translates into other kinds of success as well.

The tree is lit and the holiday season is officially underway in Burlington. Hundreds gathered for the annual festival and candlelit stroll over the weekend. Reporter D Glazebrook was there as the lions club took the reins of the event for the very first time.
Presser For National Action Plan To End Gender Based Violence
Gender based violence is one of the most pervasive, deadly, and deeply rooted human rights violations of our time. And while everyone deserves the right to live free from violence, many people continue to experience it each and every day related to their gender. Today, Milton-East Halton Hills South MP Kristina Tesser Derksen was joined by MP Rechie Valdaz, the minister of women and gender equality, to announce strengthened federal support for the national action plan to end gender based violence.
