Events are happening across Halton this week to mark "small business week". Yesterday, a networking session was hosted by the region and town of Halton Hills to help entrepreneurs get to know each other. They also got to hear an inspiring story from an entrepreneur who's already having success only two years into her venture.

The artist's mark juried exhibition is now in it's sixth year at the hub in the Burlington centre, where mall shoppers can stop in to appreciate the works of art.  Nikki Wesley attended the opening ceremony where local Burlington artist's were recognized for their outstanding creations.

After two rounds of voting, and over four thousand votes spread over a year, the Town of Halton Hills has chosen their official bird. Videographer Craig McNicoll was at a special event where the winning bird was announced.

Halton Women's Place offers safe shelter for women and their children who are experiencing violence at home. They aim to make the shelter as comfortable as possible to support women and their children of all ages. Jessica Kaitting spoke with Carm Bozzo who explained how they help kids and teens feel more at home during their stay.
