Getting to Know New Wellington-Halton Hills MPP Joseph Racinsky
Ted Arnott has been a fixture in Halton Hills for 35 years, however it was October of last year that the longtime MPP announced he would not be seeking re-election, and thus the search began for the a new candidate to fill his seat. Among the candidates vying for the role were two young Halton Hills councillors. Ward 1's Alex Hilson running for the Ontario Liberal Party, and ward 2 councillor Joseph Racinsky representing the Progressive Conservatives. With the momentum of Doug Ford's re-election, Joseph Racinsky was successful in his election bid. Earlier this week Jason Agnew had the chance to chat with the newly elected MPP and started by asking about his rollercoaster political ride and recent election win.

It's starting to feel like spring, but it's been quite the ski season this winter... Despite the plentiful amounts of snow, for many kids with disabilities, a skiing experience could seem impossible. But at Glen Eden Ski Resort, the Ontario Track3 Adaptive Sports Association is helping children defy expectations and discover their full potential, one turn at a time.

Oakville Mayor Rob Burton on the New Potential Protest By-law
The town of Oakville is seeking residents input on a new by-law that would ban protests near vulnerable social infrastructure such as places of worship, schools and hospitals. This was one of the topics in Jason Agnew's monthly chat with Oakville Mayor Rob Burton, and while Jason fully agrees with the potential by-law sentiment, he presented to the mayor a question: if a protest is told where to protest, doesn't it cease to be a protest?
Darling Home for Kids & Maverick's Donuts Fundraiser
A first of its kind fundraiser is wrapping up in Milton. Over the past week the Darling Home for Kids and the Milton location of Maverick's Donuts company combined resources to raise money for the home. As part of the appeal, a 15-year old who uses the home's services, was provided the opportunity to design and decorate his own donut.
