A world-wide initiative to help everyone lean into a healthier lifestyle is celebrating its first anniversary in Oakville. "Walk with a Doc" began in Ohio, in 2005, and is now available in over 500 countries. The Oakville chapter meets once a month to chat about a particular topic and go for a stroll.

Burlington community robotics
When the MM Rambotics, first robotics team shut down at the end of the 2023/2024 school year, only two high school first robotics competition teams remained in Burlington. As a result, this year students from six high schools were not given the option to participate in this stem learning opportunity at school.
