The 15th annual Komedy for Kidneys Rodney Pentland Memorial Benefit Show was held last week at the Greg Frewin Theatre in Niagara Falls! Some of Canada’s best stand-up comedians appeared on stage for a great night of laughter - with funds going to dialysis care in Niagara. The Source's Mitchell Glass attended and once he stopped laughing, filed this report.

After a two year hiatus, The Stamford Centre Volunteer Firemen's Association brought back it's very popular Easter Egg Hunt to Firemen's Park. This initiative gives useful items a new life while keeping them out of the landfill. It also encourages recycling, builds a stronger community and contributes to a more sustainable city.

Welcome Home Kits provide basic household supplies to individuals and families transitioning from shelters to permanent housing. These kits enable recipients to start their new lives with the materials required to cook and serve meals and to attend to personal hygiene. United Way Niagara works with individuals, groups, organizations, and partners to provide new household kitchen and bathroom items, to assemble into useful kits, and distribute to local agencies to provide to their clients. Since the program was established in 2012, over 3,700 kits have been distributed across Niagara to individuals and families in need.
