The 15th Annual Shaw Guild Garden Tour took place in Niagara-on-the-Lake recently. Over 700 people had the opportunity to tour 8 private gardens and speak to the owners and Master Gardeners. Jennifer Wittig files this report.

Saturday was Day 1 of Ribs to Go 2.0! Get out to Rapidsview Park in Niagara Falls Sunday and support the Rotary Club of Niagara Falls Sunrise District 7090 by getting some delicious bbq from Camp 31 BBQ or Billy Bones BBQ Canada. The Source's Kennedy Reynolds stopped by Saturday to talk with past president Dale Hall and visit with the ribbers. All proceeds go towards Rotary's local and international projects in need.

Training camp came to an end last week and before the pre-season starts we spoke with Head Coach Billy Burke about his thoughts on camp, his young forward group, managing Tucker Tynin's workload, the IceDogs OA's and what he thought of his leadership group.

Starting today, evening guests to Niagara Parks' newest landmark attraction, the Niagara Parks Power Station, can experience the power station in an entirely new way with "Currents: Niagara's Power Transformed", an immersive sound and light show. "Currents" is a riveting adventure that triggers your senses as you become part of the transformation of water to energy and feel the power station awaken through playful interactive media. Now in it’s 28th year, the Bigger Together Golf Classic was held on Monday, August 30, 2021 at the St. Catharines Golf & Country Club, and is the signature summer event for Big brothers Big sisters of North & West in its ability to continue to match youth (Littles) with mentors (Bigs).

The Source's Angela Mendoza made a visit to the St Catharines Farmers' Market Saturday to visit with Catie from our Community Relations Team, who was there greeting market goers with some tasty treats from our partners at St. Joseph Bakery.

The Niagara On The Lake Rotary Club recently held their 1st annual Charity Golf Tournament at Beechwood Golf Club. Proceeds raised benefitted Niagara Nursery School and Nia Technologies' Freedom To Stand, who create 3D prosthetics for children in Sri Lanka. The Source stopped by to check out some of the action and learn more about the Club.
