Niagara on the Lake Community Palliative Care is once again partnering with the Meridian Credit Union for Shred-it. Brenda Schultz has more on the August 17th fundraiser.

The 11th Annual Smash 4 SickKids Beach Volleyball Tournament took place at Sunset Beach in St. Catharines. 30 teams came out to raise funds and awareness for SickKids Foundation. The tournament is held in memory of Aiden Douthwaite who passed away at the age of 4. Jennifer Wittig reports.

Niagara favourite "Ruckus" held a special fundraising concert Friday at Club Richelieu in Welland, with proceeds going to the Welland and Niagara Falls Humane Society shelters. The Source's Jennifer Wittig was there and files this report.

The 21st annual Show n' Shine Car Show took place at the GM Propulsion Plant in St. Catharines. Over 500 car enthusiasts participated in the event that raises money for the United Way of Niagara. Lori Taraba reports.

The 17th annual Miracle Treat Day takes place at all DQ locations on Thursday, August 8th across Niagara and the rest of the province. Net proceeds from every Blizzard Treat sold at participating restaurants in the Burlington, Hamilton, Caledonia, Brantford, Simcoe, St. Catharines and Niagara region will be donated to McMaster Children’s Hospital Foundation, a proud member of Children’s Miracle Network.
