Come Down From Up River
The Foster Festival presents the World Premiere of "Come Down From Up River" by Norm Foster
Shaver Bennett has lived a rather solitary life as a logger in the woods of northern New Brunswick. One day he arrives at the doorstep of his estranged sister’s daughter, whom he hasn’t seen in 20 years. The niece, Bonnie Doyle and her wife Liv Arsenault welcome him into their lives in this sweetly moving tale. Set in Saint John, New Brunswick, Come Down From Up River explores family and forgiveness with a healthy dose of laughter sprinkled with tears.
Voices Of Freedom Park
The Town of Niagara On The Lake welcomed Arif Virani, the Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Canadian Heritage, as well as Niagara Centre MP Vance Badawey, to the "Voices Of Freedom" Park for a fundraising announcement.

Chinese Illusionist Ding Yang is currently in Canada training and performing with the International Grand Champion of Magic, Greg Frewin. Mike Balsom had the opportunity to sit down with Ding and learn more about her background, learning under Greg and plans for the future.
