After all we're at the start of a new year, and the number one resolution people make is to drop a few pounds and get healthier. However, for some reason many people believe that taking health advice from so-called influencers is a good thing. Jason Agnew spoke with healthy lifestyle expert Dr. Joyce Johnson to debunk a few of the most notable social media health trends of 2025, but first asked if it's a good thing that people are taking health advice from things they see on social media.

A new law came into effect on January 1st to help keep you and your family safe in your own homes. Nikki Wesley spoke with Oakville's Fire Chief Paul Boissonneault to find out the details, and to share a warning about something that may have been gifted to you with the best of intentions.

2025 was significant for Burlington Mayor Marianne Meed Ward as she was named the Canadian Mayor of the Year by Municipal World Magazine. This afternoon, in our first update of 2026, Jason Agnew asked Mayor Meed Ward about what she believed was her most significant accomplishment for the City of Burlington this past year.
