Milton Mayor Gord Krantz Talks About Milton Installing Speed Cushions
After years of trying to slow down drivers on Martin street, the town of Milton is proposing a more assertive measure: installing speed cushions. Despite previous efforts -- including radar-equipped speed boards, targeted police enforcement, community safety zones and 'please slow down' lawn signs -- speeding remains a concern on the two-lane collector road, which has a posted speed limit of 50 km/h. A section near a school, drops to 40 km/h during specific times. Earlier this week, Jason Agnew asked Milton Mayor Gord Krantz if he thinks the speed cushions will be put in place.

Oakville Councillor Jeff Knoll on the Safe Access to Places of Worship By-law

Halton Regional Police Service Marine Unit New Vessel
The Halton Regional Police Service Marine Unit has patrolled 800 square kilometers of lake Ontario and inland waterways since the 1980s. Yesterday they launched a new vessel in their fleet to replace the old marine two. Nikki Wesley has the details.
