4th Line Theatre presents Carmel
Carmel is the third in the Barnardo children series of plays (Doctor Barnadro’s Children, 2005 & 2014; Wounded Soldiers, 2014) and will feature characters you already met and fell in love with. This play is filled with music, dancing and farm families trying to get on with the job of living their lives. Set on the Carmel Line in Cavan Township in 1937, the play follows the struggles of a family to hold on to the farm during the Great Depression. This bittersweet work also explores Peterborough labour history and features original music inspired by country and folk music traditions of the 1930s. Carmel is dedicated to Harold and Lillian Lunn.
