Red carpet. Pow wow dancers. And a movie with something to say. The Saturday night gala at the Oakville Film Festival was more than just a premiere--it was a celebration of indigenous joy. And the film at its heart is sparking conversations far beyond the theatre. D Glazebrook brings us the story.

After the pledge they created and signed was picked up by the Canadian Association of Feminist Parliamentarians they decided to bring it to all politicians and the community to protect a democracy free from fear and intimidation.
